Key Accountabilities:
Builds solid relationships with branch teams to facilitate introductions to existing members.
Analyzes and identifies the needs of the referred members and develops recommendations, supported by Qtrade’s financial planning tools to assist members achieve financial goals.
Supports and contributes to member meetings to encourage the consolidation of financial assets at the credit union.
Enhances the investment services knowledge of branches to assist them in creating a financial planning experience that will meet member’s financial needs, which will in turn allow the branches to reach their individual sales and acquisition targets.
Becomes an integral member of branch sales teams and creates value for branches by conducting regular information sessions.
Ensures audit controls and risk management processes and practices are in place; identifies and recommends to management potential improvements or immediate risk concerns.
Supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental initiatives/programs.
Supports the implementation of the established annual business plan for the department.
Remains current on best practices, legislations, regulations, policies and procedures.
Builds collaborative working relationships with staff external to the department and external networks within area of specialization.
**Please note that this position requires regular travel between assigned territory branches and to meet at offsite locations with members as necessary**

Experience and/or Educational Requirements:
4– 6 years’ experience in retail lending/credit or investments.
Completed a relevant certificate, diploma, degree or designation program.
Canadian Securities Course (CSC).
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or personal Financial Planner (PFP)
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
