Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our team, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of coaches. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and the ability to think on the fly. The Heavy Duty Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety across our fleet.
Ideal candidate will operate our service truck that is supplied fully tooled.
2 weeks on and 2 week off rotation.
Fly in- fly out, out of Edmonton.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Coaches
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and other issues using schematics and diagnostic tools as needed
- Conduct welding and assembly tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery
- Troubleshoot systems and electrical components within the coaches
- Conduct heavy lifting operations safely to move parts or machinery during repairs
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections
- Communicating repair status and recommendations effectively
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with coaches considered an asset
- Field experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency in welding, electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and hydraulic repair techniques
- Ability to operate equipment safely and perform heavy lifting tasks
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic testing devices
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of maintenance procedures and troubleshooting methods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills

Pay: $55.00-$75.00 per hour
