Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, good construction skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. This role is essential in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities and manage on-site personnel to ensure adherence to project timelines and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide construction efforts effectively.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project tracking, documentation, and communication.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, estimating costs, and resource allocation for various phases of construction.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices in construction techniques and safety protocols.
- This is a hands on position which well require labour work as well. Must be efficient in multiple construction abilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and quality control processes.
- Familiarity with construction estimating, budgeting practices
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration and effective communication.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction management.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise on-site while maintaining a positive work environment.
