Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Clerk/Administrative Assistant to support our daily operations. The ideal candidate will have strong clerical skills, proficiency in office software, and excellent customer service abilities. This role involves handling administrative tasks, managing communication channels, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the front desk and office environment. Prior experience in medical or dental offices is a plus, but not required. Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
- Handle filing systems, document proofreading, and general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and organizing files
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks and basic accounting procedures as needed
- Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries and supporting clients or patients effectively
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings
- Maintain organized workspaces and ensure office supplies are stocked appropriately
- Support medical or dental office functions if applicable, including patient check-in/out processes and insurance documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience with office administration, clerical tasks, or customer service roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and QuickBooks preferred
- Strong computer skills with the ability to perform data entry accurately and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for proofreading and document management
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Strong typing skills with a focus on accuracy and speed
- Excellent communication skills including phone etiquette and customer service experience
- Prior experience in medical or dental offices is a plus but not mandatory; relevant experience in bookkeeping or administrative support is desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
