Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of warehouse associates to ensure the efficient receiving, storage, picking, and shipping of products. Acting as the first point of contact for the team, the Warehouse Team Lead ensures work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule while supporting operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Plan, coordinate, and assign daily tasks to warehouse associates based on operational priorities;

Monitor receiving, storage, order picking, and shipping activities to ensure accuracy and on-time completion;

Provide guidance, coaching, and day-to-day support to warehouse staff;
-
Train new employees and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and best practices;
-
Monitor productivity, quality standards, and workflow efficiency within the warehouse;
-
Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and implementing corrective actions when required;

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment;

Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and adherence to 5S standards;
-
Coordinate and participate in cycle counts and physical inventory activities while ensuring inventory accuracy;

Investigate inventory discrepancies, equipment damage, and operational issues, and communicate findings to the Warehouse Supervisor;

Collaborate with the Warehouse Supervisor to achieve departmental goals and performance targets;
-
Support warehouse operations, including receiving, order picking, packing, and shipping activities, when required;

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Bilingual (French and English);
-
High School Diploma (or equivalent);
-
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a Team Lead, Lead Hand, or supervisory role within a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment;

Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills;
-
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
-
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities;
-
Knowledge of warehouse health and safety standards and best practices;
-
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (an asset);
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
-
Forklift operating experience and certification (asset);
-
Knowledge of shipping systems such as Purolator, FedEx, UPS, or similar carriers (asset);
-
Experience with inventory control and warehouse performance metrics (asset).

Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS);
-
Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, Kaizen, etc.);
-
Strong understanding of inventory management and inventory accuracy processes;
-
Ability to motivate and develop team members while fostering a positive work environment.
