Job Description:
Carry out the complete staffing process for the assigned groups, based on management requests.
If applicable, manage a team of external recruiters for mass recruitment periods.
Collaborate, as required, with recruitment agencies to ensure that their research is well directed.
Coordinate the process of welcoming and integrating new employees by ensuring that all relevant participants have received the necessary instructions.
Coordinate necessary training such as health and safety, various work techniques, Kronos etc. to promote the integration of new employees.
Coordinate the performance and development evaluation process for all employees and the monitoring of probation evaluations for new employees.
Coordinate and facilitate disciplinary meetings with the immediate supervisor of the concerned employee.
Negotiate with unions in cases of misunderstandings, complaints or grievances while ensuring a healthy relationship between the parties.
Agree, based on current company practices and current case law, on disciplinary measures to be adopted.
Write disciplinary notices and track employee files.
Give advice to senior staff of assigned groups to promote sound personnel management.
Create and deploy various training courses, with the assistance of internal instructors or in collaboration with external providers, based on previously identified needs.
Evaluate existing training to ensure its relevance and impact on workforce skills development.
Create, update and disseminate policies, current procedures and procedures for possible improvements to ensure the department works as efficiently as possible.
Conduct exit interviews to identify the aspects that cause employees to leave. Develop improvement strategies following these interviews to reduce employee turnover rate.
Ensure respect of existing collective agreements.
Develop and update various tools to facilitate the work of human resources management.
Identify areas for improvement in human resources practices, procedures and processes, suggest appropriate solutions and ensure implementation of selected solutions.
Participate and collaborate on various HR projects (studies, training, deployment of new processes, etc.)
Identify innovative methods to improve employee engagement and mobilization.
Perform all other related tasks upon request from their immediate supervisor.
Required Skills & Knowledge for this role include but are not limited to the following:

Facilitation of meetings/ Effective oral presentation;
Conflict management;
Knowledge of recruitment principles;
Good English skills would be an asset;
Have the ability to work effectively with clients and/or other groups/departments;
Knowledge of labour laws and regulations;
Ability to work under pressure;
Work organization/priority management.
