Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Full-Time Sushi Chef to join our vibrant restaurant team. Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi and Japanese dishes with precision and creativity, adhering to traditional recipes and presentation standards.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising food preparation, cooking, and serving activities.
- Manage food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing training on sushi techniques, food safety, and customer service.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared efficiently and meet quality standards before serving.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan menus, manage inventory, and control costs.
- Uphold excellent food service standards by ensuring timely delivery of orders and attentive customer interactions.
- Assist in supervising restaurant operations during service hours to ensure smooth workflow and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant management, preferably within the sushi or Japanese cuisine industry.
- Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on hospitality and customer service excellence.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively.
- Previous restaurant experience in a culinary or hospitality setting is preferred.
