Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a passion for food, excellent food handling skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The Line Cook will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation, delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations throughout shifts
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Serve dishes promptly and accurately to guests or servers as needed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold sanitation standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Prior experience in the food industry or kitchen environment is preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required during meal prep and service shifts
