One Bowl is entering an exciting phase of growth with large-scale housing projects already underway and a growing pipeline of opportunities across Canada. We are building long-term partnerships, supporting community-led development, and creating meaningful economic and housing opportunities.
We are seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and relationship-driven individual to help lead One Bowl’s sales growth, partnership development, and national expansion efforts.
Position Summary
As the Sales Development & Partnerships Manager, you will play a key leadership role in driving One Bowl’s regional growth strategy across Canada, with a focus on Northern Ontario. This is a highly proactive, outward-facing role focused on sales growth, partnership development, and community engagement.
This is not a passive administrative sales position. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-driven, comfortable with outreach and networking, and motivated to actively generate opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and expand One Bowl’s presence throughout Northern, Rural, Remote, and Indigenous communities across Canada.
You will lead the full sales and partnership development cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to proposal development, contract negotiation, project coordination, and long-term client relationship management. This role also requires regular travel, on-site engagement, and relationship development within communities and active project environments.
The successful candidate will understand the unique geography, housing challenges, and community dynamics across Canada and Northern Ontario and be excited by the opportunity to help shape meaningful housing and economic development outcomes across the region.
Success in This Role Looks Like

- Generating sustainable sales opportunities and partnership pipelines that support long-term organizational growth
- Expanding One Bowl’s presence within Northern, Rural, Remote, and Indigenous communities through proactive outreach and engagement.
- Representing One Bowl professionally at meetings, trade shows, conferences, community visits, and industry events.
- Supporting communities from early engagement through project coordination and active construction involvement.
- Contributing to a high-performing, mission-driven culture focused on long-term housing and economic development impact.
- Helping position One Bowl as a trusted national leader in community-led housing development and partnership collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Implementation
- Develop and execute proactive regional sales and partnership development strategies tailored to Canadian home buyers and Northern, Rural, Remote, and Indigenous communities.
- Lead the full sales cycle including prospecting, outreach, relationship cultivation, proposal development, negotiations, contract execution, and client support.
- Conduct proactive outreach, networking, follow-up, and business development activities to generate new opportunities and strengthen One Bowl’s Canadian presence.
- Establish, refine, and continuously improve sales systems, proposals, presentations, reporting tools, and operational workflows.
- Identify and pursue long-term strategic partnerships with communities, suppliers, municipalities, and industry organizations.
2. Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, partners, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout the sales and project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits, community meetings, presentations, and on-site engagement throughout planning, delivery, and active construction phases.
- Travel regularly throughout Canada with a focus on Northern Ontario, including extended stays in Rural, Remote, and Indigenous communities as required.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with Indigenous communities, local partners, suppliers, contractors, municipalities, and industry stakeholders.
- Support relationship development and strategic partnership cultivation even where opportunities may not lead to immediate project sales.
3. Team Development & Leadership
- Contribute to the growth and development of One Bowl’s sales and partnership operations while providing leadership, mentorship, and supervision to the Sales & Project Coordinator position.
- Promote a collaborative, proactive, and high-performing team culture aligned with One Bowl’s mission and values.
- Provide updates, training, and knowledge-sharing related to products, systems, market trends, and operational processes.
- Support operational continuity through process improvement and documentation initiatives.
4. Business Development & Partnerships
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand One Bowl’s regional market presence and partnership network.
- Develop meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities, community organizations, suppliers, contractors, municipalities, industry associations, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Project Management to support coordinated business development efforts.
- Represent One Bowl professionally within communities, at meetings, conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
5. Marketing Collaboration & Event Participation
- Independently identify, evaluate, and recommend trade shows, conferences, industry events, and community gatherings aligned with One Bowl’s strategic growth goals.
- Develop annual event participation strategies, including budget recommendations, staffing requirements, and projected outcomes.
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of trade show and event participation activities.
- Represent One Bowl at industry events, conferences, trade shows, and community meetings to strengthen partnerships, generate leads, and expand brand visibility.
- Collaborate with Marketing and leadership teams to align messaging, outreach, and event strategies with broader organizational goals.
6. Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct competitor analysis, product comparison research, housing trend analysis, and market intelligence gathering.
- Stay informed on industry developments through conferences, webinars, networking events, research activities, and industry associations.
- Prepare and present sales reports, business proposals, market analysis reports, strategic recommendations, and competitive intelligence summaries to leadership.
- Monitor regional housing needs, funding opportunities, industry developments, and emerging market trends to support long-term growth planning.
7. Sales Reporting & CRM Management
- Utilize CRM systems daily across all aspects of sales, partnership development, relationship management, task assignment, reporting, and opportunity tracking.
- Maintain accurate client records, sales activity tracking, pipeline management, and reporting systems.
- Continuously optimize CRM processes, workflows, and sales tracking systems to improve operational efficiency and visibility.
- Deliver regular sales performance reports, pipeline updates, and opportunity tracking summaries to leadership.
8. Documentation & Process Management
- Regularly document systems, workflows, operational procedures, and sales processes to support organizational continuity and scalability.
- Create and maintain training resources, process documentation, and operational support materials.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of internal sales systems, partnership development workflows, and operational standards.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, housing, construction, economic development, or a related field, with proven success establishing sales territories, partnership pipelines, and growth strategies within early-stage or growth-oriented organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, generate opportunities, and develop partnerships through proactive outreach and networking.
- Strong communication, organizational, relationship management, and project coordination skills.
- Experience working with Northern and Indigenous communities is considered a strong asset.
- Strong organizational, reporting, CRM, and process documentation skills.
- Experience preparing proposals, presentations, reports, and market analysis documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

Working Conditions
- Standard operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Flexibility is required to accommodate consistent travel, trade shows, events, project schedules, and community engagement activities.
- Hybrid work arrangements are dependent on the program and organizational needs.
- Frequent travel across Canada with a focus on Northern Ontario is required, including independent travel, hotel stays, extended time in rural communities, site visits, conferences, and industry events.
- This role requires active on-site engagement throughout project planning, delivery, and construction phases.
Reporting Structure
The Sales Development & Partnerships Manager reports directly to the Executive Director and collaborates closely with Marketing, Finance, Operations, Project Management, leadership teams, and external partners to support One Bowl’s strategic growth and partnership initiatives. This role also provides management and supervision for the Sales & Project Coordinator position.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel frequently across Canada, especially Northern Ontario to engage with communities, suppliers, stakeholders, and clients.
- Ability to attend and participate in industry events, conferences, Home Building Trade Shows, community meetings, and on-site project activities as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to safely lift 50 pounds.

- Competitive salary in the range of $60,000 to $75,000 plus commission, travel costs, daily per diems, and mileage is covered when not using the company vehicle.
