This position is for a Heavy Equipment Operator for the equipment of an Excavator, Dozer, Loader, Skid steer and Backhoe for a Sewer - Watermain contractor based out of Brantford, Ontario that performs a range of services. The hours will typically be 7:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday but will be weather dependant and more hours may be required based on the workload and schedules.
Travel to all sites is provided by the company to and from the yard each day.
The position is a full-time seasonal position, although full-time work all year around may be available.
The position will report and work directly with site foreman or Superintendent.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years operating in road reconstruction applications as well as ICI and New Subdivision
· Knowledge of sewer, watermain, excavation and earthmoving practices are an asset
· Candidates should have a positive attitude, be dependable and reliable
· Strong attention to detail and staying focused on the task at hand
· Knowledge of safe working practices while operating equipment
· Ability to work in conjunction with a crew or on an individual basis as required
