Marry Me Mochi is looking for energetic, friendly, and reliable team members to join us for the Uptown Jazz Festival in Waterloo, Ontario, from July 17–19, 2026.This is an excellent opportunity for students, recent graduates, or anyone looking for temporary seasonal work to gain experience in a fast-paced festival environment while working with a fun and supportive team.As a member of our festival crew, you'll help provide excellent customer service while serving our delicious menu items to festival guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
- Prepare and serve food efficiently while following food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work area.
- Restock supplies throughout the event.
- Work collaboratively with the team during busy periods.
- Assist with booth setup, closing duties, and end-of-day cleanup.
Qualifications
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light lifting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Previous food service or customer service experience is considered an asset.
- A valid Food Handler Certificate is preferred. Applicants who do not currently hold a valid certificate must obtain one before their first scheduled shift.
Availability
Applicants should be available to work July 17–19, 2026, with availability for all three event days strongly preferred. Due to the nature of festival events, employees must be willing to stay beyond their scheduled shift if required to help manage customer demand and complete end-of-day cleanup.
Future Opportunities
Marry Me Mochi will be participating in additional pop-up markets, festivals, and community events throughout the summer. Team members who demonstrate reliability, a positive attitude, and strong performance during the Uptown Jazz Festival may be offered additional shifts and opportunities to work at future events.
Compensation & Perks
