Position: Sous Chef

Working Hours: 40hrs per week

Wage: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Fishworks Restaurant is located at Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver BC and is offering stylish and sustainable seafood plus local & international wines. This Lonsdale restaurant scene is in need of a seafood restaurant that utilizes the bounty of fresh seafood from our unique west coast. Fishworks restaurant features timeless classics as well as contemporary and modern cuisine.

Main duties

Supervise, co-ordinate, monitor and schedule the activities of specialist chefs, chefs cooks and other kitchen staff
Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
May plan menus and acquire food and kitchen supplies
May prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
Other duties as assigned by an executive chef


Completion of secondary school is required
Cook’s trade certification or equivalent credentials, training and experience are required

At least 2~3 years of work experience in commercial food preparation
Supervisory experience is an asset
English is a mandatory
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Be able to work under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
Time management and decision making skills are required
