Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Equipment Operators to join our construction team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation, including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, This role involves operating various types of construction equipment to support large-scale projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. Candidates should possess solid mechanical knowledge and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, with precision and safety.
- Conductections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in site preparation, grading, excavation, and paving activities according to project specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
- Support other construction activities requiring mechanical expertise or operation of specialized machinery.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including dozers, excavators (Caterpillar preferred), loaders, backhoes,
- Experience with screening and stackers making up soil would be advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of heavy equipment.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles for transportation of equipment or materials as needed.
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Valid licensing or certification for heavy equipment operation is preferred but not mandatory for all roles depending on project requirements. Pay: $32.00-$45.00 per hour
