Director of Finance & F&I Operations is required
The Opportunity
Roadsport Auto Group is seeking an accomplished automotive F&I leader to serve as Director of Finance & F&I Operations.
This is a corporate, operational, and revenue-generating leadership role responsible for leading Business Managers across Roadsport Auto Group. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director will drive Financial Services profitability, develop high-performing teams, strengthen lender relationships, and ensure consistent compliance across all dealership locations in ON and NB. This is not a traditional accounting or corporate finance position.
Key Responsibilities
Performance & Profitability
- Lead Financial Services performance across all Roadsport dealerships.
- Maximize F&I gross profit and achieve monthly and annual performance targets.
- Monitor key metrics, including finance penetration, PVA (Products Per Deal), PPD (Product Volume Average / Per-Vehicle Amount), product penetration, funding timelines, and chargebacks.
- Implement consistent strategic menu-selling processes across the group.
- Partner with General Managers and General Sales Managers to optimize deal structures, profitability, and vehicle turnover.
- Provide senior leadership with regular performance reporting, forecasts, and recommendations.
Leadership and Training
- Lead, coach, and hold Business Managers accountable for results.
- Oversee the training and development of Business Managers.
- Conduct performance workshops focused on objection handling, ethical closing, product knowledge, menu presentation, lender submissions, and compliance.
- Evaluate and recommend commission plans, performance tiers, and incentive programs.
- Support succession planning and the development of future F&I leaders.
Lender & OEM Relationships
- Develop senior-level relationships with prime, non-prime, sub-prime, and OEM captive lenders.
- Strengthen the group’s lender portfolio to improve financing options, approvals, and funding efficiency.
- Act as the escalation point for funding delays, contracts in transit, lender stipulations, and complex credit matters.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Establish and enforce consistent F&I compliance standards.
- Audit deal jackets, contracts, disclosures, lender documents, and product agreements.
- Ensure adherence to consumer protection requirements, financial disclosure obligations, lender standards, provincial automotive regulations, and Roadsport policies.
- Strengthen identity verification and fraud-prevention controls.
- Identify and address documentation deficiencies, funding risks, chargebacks, potential legal exposure and OMVIC regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of exceptional automotive F&I experience as a Senior Business Manager, F&I Director, or comparable leader.
- Proven success within a high-volume dealership or multi-location automotive group.
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing Business Managers.
- Strong knowledge of automotive lending, credit submissions, menu selling, aftermarket products, deal structuring, and funding procedures.
- Proven ability to improve F&I gross profit, finance and product penetration, approval rates, and funding performance.
- Experience managing lender relationships and resolving complex funding matters.
- Strong knowledge of F&I compliance, consumer disclosures, identity verification, and fraud prevention.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Valid OMVIC license is required.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
Travel
Travel will be required between Roadsport dealership locations in Ontario and New Brunswick.

Pay: $130,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
