What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Head Shipper and Warehouse Manager, the Shipper Receiver is responsible for the unloading and loading of both internal and external goods. This position uses a forklift to ensure the right product is picked and shipped and that incoming shipments are verified and rotated into stock.
- Load and unload trailers.
- Assemble order directly onto truck or staging area while ensuring proper product and lot serial.
- Ensure there are no damages and special loading patterns, or dunnage is used where required.
- Check information on load against skid tag, complete load sheet where required and rotate product by lot serial using First-in First-out principles.
- Inspect trailer for cleanliness.
- Perform stacking inspections and cycle counts as requested.
- Labeling of finished goods and packaging.
- Re-pile skids.
- Support Warehouse General Labourers.
- Use company vehicle to drive to other warehouse locations to support shunting schedules.
- General warehouse and sanitation duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll have:
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
- Lift Truck Certification.
- Minimum 1 year experience working as a shipper receiver in fast-paced manufacturing setting and/or warehouse setting.
- Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail skills and multitasking skills.
- Good reading and writing skills.
- Able to lift to 50lbs without assistance.
