Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest experiences through efficient food service, accurate order processing, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering functions
- Manage guest orders efficiently, ensuring timely service and accuracy
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to uphold safety standards
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Manage time effectively to ensure smooth operation during shifts, especially during peak hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for cashiering and transaction processing
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or hospitality is desirable
- Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; prior restaurant or food industry experience is advantageous
