[6–8] weeks Hours: [20] hrs/week, weekdays 12-5PM. Presentation centre hours; some shifts around the September 12 event. Compensation: $20/hour + $5 bonus per confirmed appointment that attends Reports to: Licensed representative on site, Howell Marketing × The Align Group (Realty of Canada Inc.)
The role in one line
You own the phone. Your job is not to make calls — it's to end calls with a confirmed appointment in the calendar and a clean record in the system.
Ōku is a completed concrete building on Vancouver's Westside. We have live inventory, a booked event calendar, and lists of realtors and registered buyers who need to be called, booked, and re-confirmed. What we don't have is someone who owns that phone line from first dial to attended appointment.
Most people who take a role like this treat the call as the deliverable. If that's how you think about it, this isn't the job. The call is the beginning. The booking is the deliverable, and the person who shows up is the score.
What you'll do
- Work through supplied call lists (licensed realtors and registered prospects) using approved scripts and talking points
- Book appointments and event registrations on the call — not "I'll send you the info," but a time in the calendar before you hang up
- Send the confirmation text or email immediately after the call, while the person is still holding the phone
- Re-confirm every booking 24–48 hours ahead. This is where most appointments are won or lost.
- Log every outcome — reached, callback, booked, declined, wrong number — in our appointment desk portal, same day, no backlog
- Route anyone with pricing, financing, contract, or suitability questions to the licensed representative on site
- Flag opt-out requests immediately so they're suppressed across all lists (this is a legal requirement, not a preference)
- Work the callback queue with discipline. Someone who said "call me Thursday" gets called Thursday.
What this role does not do
We're specific about this because it protects you as much as us. In this role you will not:
- Quote, negotiate, or discuss pricing, terms, incentives, or availability beyond the pre-approved script
- Give advice on suitability, financing, investment merit, or which home someone should buy
- Show homes or conduct tours
- Represent yourself as a licensed real estate professional
You are an unlicensed administrative and scheduling support person working under the supervision of a licensed representative. Every substantive conversation about a home gets handed to them. Because of this, compensation is hourly plus an activity bonus — no commission.
What we're looking for
Required
- Fluent English - Other language is an asset
- Comfortable making [60–80] outbound calls per day without needing to be restarted
- Genuinely good on the phone with strangers: warm, quick, unbothered by a cold reception, and able to ask for a commitment without apologizing for it
- Organized enough to keep a callback queue and a CRM accurate under volume
- Available evenings and weekends, and available on and around September 19
Assets
- Other language
- Prior experience in appointment setting, inside sales, call centre, reception, or front-of-house at a presentation centre
- Familiarity with new-home sales or the Vancouver real estate market
- Existing real estate licence (changes the scope of the role and the conversation — tell us)
Not required: a real estate licence, industry experience, or a sales background. We will train you on the script, the product, and the system. We can't train you to like being on the phone.
Why take it
- Short, defined term with a clear finish line — you'll know exactly what success looked like
- Paid on results you actually control, not on someone else's close
- Real training on how a new-home sales campaign runs, from someone doing it
- Possible extension into the post-event period for the right person
Pay: $18.25-$29.61 per hour
Work Location: In person
