Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented On Call Packager to join our manufacturing team. This position offers flexible on-call hours to support our packaging operations as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments, with a focus on packaging processes, and possess mechanical aptitude. This role is essential in ensuring that products are accurately and efficiently packaged for shipment, maintaining high quality standards.
Duties
- Assist with packaging products according to specifications and quality standards
- Operate packaging machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct very basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance on packaging machinery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality expectations
- Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or equipment issues promptly
Skills
- Background in food manufacturing, or packaging environments preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on an on-call basis
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Prior experience in warehouse or food manufacturing settings is a plus
