Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will support various on-site activities, assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring the smooth progression of construction projects. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including unloading materials and setting up equipment.
- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and levels to support carpentry, framing, and finishing tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to understand project requirements.
- Perform tasks related to restoration work, construction painting, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and plumbing support as directed.
- Support skilled tradespeople with tasks like welding, carpentry, and installation of fixtures or materials.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
- Assist with general site maintenance, including cleaning work areas and organizing tools and materials.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools and basic construction techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks throughout the day.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to construction sites is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of carpentry, plumbing, welding, or flooring installation is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for eager learners.
