Conditions of Employment:
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must have and maintain a Class 5 Driver's Licence.
Must have the ability to travel by air, boat and/or ground transportation and stay overnight in remote Northern locations.
Ability to work overtime as required.

Post secondary education in Project Management, Business Administration or Public Sector Management combined with practical progressive work related experience.
Experience developing, managing, administering, and delivering capital, preservation and maintenance programs.
Experience working with Indigenous and First Nation communities and Indigenous cultures and values.
Experience managing and leading a diverse group of staff teams.
Strong negotiating and public relation skills to manage stakeholder expectations.
Financial management experience as it relates to budget reports, cash flow documents, expenditure analysis and implementing corrective action.
Knowledge of construction methods, contract administration and the constraints of remote construction.
Strong written communication skills with experience in preparing technical and executive reports and correspondence.
Strong problem solving and decision making skills demonstrating judgement when dealing with culturally sensitive and political issues.
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate information effectively to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to interpret, apply, or enforce Federal and Provincial regulations.

The incumbent is responsible for the development, management, administration and delivery of the provincial Airport and Marine Infrastructure Program (capital, preservation, and maintenance) for all NAMO’s asset groups. This is highly complex managerial work with overall responsibility requiring broad encompassing decisions, extensive planning, cooperation with inside resources professional disciplines, and other related services. The major responsibility consists of Program Planning and development for capital, preservation, and maintenance on an annual and multi-year basis. The position also provides leadership, guidance, and direction to NAMO’s Infrastructure Business Unit including staff development and management. This position is an integral part of NAMO’s Senior Management Team contributing to overall planning, policy, and administrative decisions within the Branch.
