Physiotherapist
Wadden Physiotherapy and Sport Performance is located in Membertou – one of quickest-growing communities in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality. We are preparing to move into a large, modern facility at Seventh Exchange in September 2026 and are looking to add a physiotherapist to our growing team! Our new facility will have a large, fully functional gym space and all private treatment rooms. We combine over 50 years of clinical experience with a genuine passion for what we do. Our approach is focused on providing high-quality, individualized patient care.
Physiotherapist duties will include:
· Conduct thorough assessments and develop customized treatment plans for a wide range of patients, including those with acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, post-surgical cases, and neurological disorders.
· Utilize manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, acupuncture and other modalities to optimize patient recovery and achieve treatment goals.
· Provide compassionate care, fostering a supportive and motivational environment for patients.
· Continuously evaluate patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly, and document patient records with utmost precision.
· Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and promote interdisciplinary learning.
· Actively participate in professional development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in physiotherapy techniques and research.
· Contribute to clinic promotion in our community through event coverage and education opportunities
· Support the growth of the physiotherapy profession through the mentorship of physiotherapy students, medical residents, physiotherapy aides and university/high school students
· Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors or Masters degree in Physiotherapy, member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and a member in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists.
· Strong clinical reasoning skills and the ability to design effective treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
· Proficiency in a wide range of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modalities.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and work collaboratively with colleagues.
· Passion for continuous learning, demonstrated through participation in relevant courses and conferences
· Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle a busy caseload efficiently.
