Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared efficiently and to perfection in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
- Ensure all food handling and safety guidelines are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety practices, and proper cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
