Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper / Fryer Cook to join our vibrant food service team. This role is essential in supporting daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a strong work ethic, contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients.
- Operate fryers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to prepare menu items.
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Handle food with care to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
- Serve food promptly and courteously to customers or servers.
- Follow all food safety regulations and procedures to prevent contamination or accidents.
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with food handling, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and standards within the food industry is a plus.
- Experience in serving customers or working in a fast-paced environment will be beneficial.
- Candidates should demonstrate good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
