Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Batch Plant Operator to oversee the daily operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing batch processes, ensuring safety standards, and maintaining equipment efficiency. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor batch plant equipment to produce high-quality concrete in accordance with production schedules.
- Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot machinery, including mixers, conveyors, and other processing equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plant machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety compliance.
- Manage raw material inputs and oversee the proper mixing and batching procedures.
- Document production data accurately and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
- Assist with equipment repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding, machining, or assembly techniques as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Operate heavy equipment such as wheel loaders when necessary for material handling within the plant
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge in batch plants is an asset
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and construction environments.
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation and industrial machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report operational status effectively. This position is integral to maintaining efficient production workflows while ensuring safety standards are met at all times. Experience
- Must have previous experience in the concrete industry.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
