JOB ROLE-SAP BO CONSULTANT
LOCATION-TORONTO -HYBRID
LONG TERM CONTRACT
DESCRIBTION-
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP BusinessObjects (SAP BO) Expert to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level reporting and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP BO tools, data modeling, and report optimization, along with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
1. SAP BO Development & Administration
- Design, develop, and deploy SAP BusinessObjects reports using tools such as:
- Web Intelligence (WebI)
- Crystal Reports
- SAP Lumira / BI Launchpad
- Create universes using Information Design Tool (IDT) or Universe Design Tool (UDT) Manage BO platform (user access, security, scheduling, and publishing)
2. Data Modeling & Integration
Design and maintain data models, universes, and semantic layers Integrate data from SAP and non-SAP sources (HANA, BW, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization
3. Performance Optimization
Optimize query performance and report execution times Troubleshoot slow-running reports and database issues Implement best practices for indexing, aggregation, and caching
4. Governance & Security
Implement role-based security and access control Ensure compliance with data governance and enterprise standards Maintain audit logs and system documentation
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work with business users to gather reporting requirements Translate business needs into technical specifications Provide insights and recommendations through dashboards and reports
6. Support & Maintenance
Provide production support and resolve incidents Monitor system health and performance Perform system upgrades, patching, and migrations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in:
- SAP BusinessObjects (BO 4.x)
- Web Intelligence (WebI), Crystal Reports Universe design (IDT/UDT)
- Hands-on experience with:
- SAP HANA, SAP BW, or other databases
- SQL (advanced queries, joins, stored procedures)
Knowledge of:
- BI Launchpad, CMC (Central Management Console) Scheduling and publication features
- Additional Skills:
- Data warehousing concepts and ETL processes Performance tuning and query optimization Experience with integration tools and APIs
- Experience Requirements:
- 5–10+ years of experience in SAP BO development and administration Experience in enterprise BI environments Prior experience in BFSI/Healthcare/Manufacturing (preferred depending on role)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field SAP BO certification (preferred)
Skills Required: SAP Crystal Reports~Microsoft SQL Server 2019~Digital : SAP BASIS - HANA Years Experience: 6-8
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON (Toronto District)
