Responsibilities may include:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage vendor communications. Record and track outstanding payments.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into the accounting software or spreadsheets, ensuring all transactions are documented and up-to-date.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies in financial records, working closely with the finance team to resolve any issues.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the general ledger, posting journal entries, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist in the preparation of basic financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Filing & Documentation: Maintain an organized filing system for financial records and receipts, ensuring all documentation is compliant with company policies and regulations.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries as needed.
- Payroll: Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and error-free payment. Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring all data is accurate and stored securely.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Perform general administrative and accounting support tasks as needed, including assisting with budgeting, payroll processing, and tax filing preparations
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience (1-3 years) in an accounting or finance role is preferred, but entry-level candidates with relevant coursework will also be considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with accounting software (Sage 50 preferred) is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work with accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and take initiative in resolving discrepancies.
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive financial data with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax filings is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
