Position Overview:
Reporting to the Care and Service Manager, the Personal Support Services Supervisor (RPN) will be accountable for the supervision of Unregulated Care Providers (UCPs) who are caring for clients within the community. The PSS Supervisor will practice in accordance with regulatory, legislation and follow practice standards and guidelines as outlined by their regulatory body and ParaMed Home Health. The Community PSS Supervisor will have the knowledge to assess, implement and evaluate a wide range of clinical care interventions to ensure the delivery of safe, quality and ethical care. They will be responsible for ensuring staff are meeting all standards and practice expectations as outlined by ParaMed.

Qualifications/Experience
Registration in good standing as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse with provincial regulatory college
More than two years of providing clinical care, assessments, critical thinking and problem solving in a community care environment
Two years' experience directly managing, leading, and mentoring staff delivering community care
Certification in Community Health Nursing with CNA certification preferred
Working knowledge of applicable health care legislation and standards of palliative care, wound management, infusion therapy and other specialities to offer guidance on Best Practices in this area
