Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Support daily classroom activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development of children
- Assist with implementing curriculum plans tailored to diverse learning needs, including children with disabilities or special education requirements
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care and education
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and classroom activities using computer systems
- Support classroom management by organizing materials, managing time efficiently, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance teaching skills, especially in bilingual settings or specialized educational strategies
Skills
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is highly desirable for bilingual communication
- Strong childcare experience with children of various ages, including those with disabilities or special needs
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and teaching methodologies
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members
- Computer skills including basic operation of classroom management software and record keeping tools
- Ability to organize activities effectively while managing time efficiently
- Leadership qualities to support team collaboration and classroom supervision
- Writing skills for documenting children's progress and preparing reports
- Organizational skills to maintain a structured learning environment and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Pay: $17.64-$20.05 per hour
