Our clients are primarily school-aged children experiencing challenges with fine motor skills, handwriting, coordination, motor planning, and developmental coordination disorder. About Us
New Leaf Psychology Centre is a well-established private practice with locations in Cambridge and Milton, Ontario. We provide assessment and treatment services across the lifespan, from early childhood through adulthood.
Our multidisciplinary team provides psychoeducational, developmental, giftedness, psychological, and rehabilitation assessments, as well as evidence-based treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Position Overview
This position will primarily involve working with school-aged children experiencing:
- Fine motor delays
- Handwriting and letter formation difficulties
- Gross motor coordination challenges
- Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)
- Motor planning and body awareness difficulties
The successful candidate will enjoy breaking complex everyday activities into achievable steps while helping children build confidence through engaging, play-based intervention.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging occupational therapy services to children and youth
- Develop individualized treatment plans and home practice activities
- Collaborate closely with parents and caregivers to support skill development
- Contribute to psychoeducational assessments when motor concerns are identified
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports
- Work collaboratively with psychologists and other clinicians within the practice
Qualifications
- Registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Experience working with children and youth
- Experience treating fine motor, handwriting, coordination, and motor planning challenges
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Passion for working with children and families
Location
Services are provided at either our Milton or Cambridge clinic (based on your preference).
