EM College is currently looking for a math teacher to teach elementary and high school students, with a focus on school math support and math competition preparation. We are looking for a teacher who is familiar with Canadian math competitions and has relevant teaching experience.
Requirements
- Experience teaching elementary and/or high school math; teaching or tutoring experience in Canada is
preferred.
- Familiarity with the Canadian elementary and high school math curriculum.
- Knowledge of Canadian math competitions, such as Math Kangaroo, Waterloo math contests, and the
Gauss Mathematics Contest.
- Experience coaching students for math competitions is preferred, including logical reasoning,problem-solving strategies, and contest preparation.
- Clear explanations and the ability to guide students through problem-solving steps, not just provide answers.
- Strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to design lesson plans according to students’ levels and provide timely feedback.
- Online teaching availability is required; experience with online teaching and a stable internet connection are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide math tutoring to elementary and high school students.
- Explain key concepts, challenging topics, and common question types in school math.
- Teach math competition courses, including foundational training, critical thinking development, past
contest problem practice, and exam preparation.
- Assign suitable exercises and homework based on students’ levels.
- Provide brief feedback after each class.
Work Format
Online teaching is the main format. Flexible scheduling is available based on course arrangements. Part-time or long-term cooperation is welcome.
