Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Must be available nights and weekends. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Stock ingredients and notify management of inventory needs
- Adhere to serving protocols and assist with food service when required
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line/prep cook in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service principles
- Experience with meal preparation, food safety standards, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
- Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
