Hiring Local Truck Class 1 Driver in Edmonton : We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local Truck Driver to join our transportation team. Duties
- Operate commercial trucks for local deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Inspect vehicles regularly to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance issues
- Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Assist with automotive repairs or minor maintenance tasks when necessary
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), Class 1 with a clean driving record
- Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving preferred
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic laws, and safety regulations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift heavy loads and operate heavy equipment safely
- Prior experience with freight handling is desirable
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
