Class 1 Logging Driver
We are currently hiring a Class 1 Driver in the Grande Prairie area to haul logs, gravel and asphalt. If you are an experienced truck driver looking to work for a company focused on safety and their drivers, feel free to email your resume.
Skills·
· MUST HAVE minimum of 3 years work experience as a truck driver·
· Experience with log haul and hauling on logging roads preferred·
· Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly·
· Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations·
· Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
· Physical fitness to carry out required job duties·
· Valid truck driving license
Responsibilities:
· Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
· Document trip inspections and hours worked and driven according to national safety code standards and hand in daily.
· Document information required for forwarding and hand in daily.
· Comply with provincial truck driving rules and regulations (hours of service, trips inspections, cargo securement, size, weight, route designations, wrapping stations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
· Report defects, accidents, or violations
