We are currently seeking Established Team Truck Drivers – Class 1A to join our team based in Calgary, Alberta.
What the Job Looks Like:
This is an Open Board Team Driving position, hauling LTL/TL Dry freight across Canada.
Preference will be placed on drivers with the ability and willingness to cross into the USA.. Our organization is primarily Canada only, however there are times where US travel is required.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Safely operate company equipment while adhering to all regulatory and company safety requirements, including completing electronic logs, vehicle inspections, and required documentation
- Coordinate schedules and responsibilities with driving partner, to maximize productivity and compliance within Hours of Service regulations
- Monitor trip progress and proactively identify solutions to minimize delays and maintain delivery schedules.
- Transport LTL dry freight, including TDG shipments requiring placards
- Ensure freight is properly secured, protected, and delivered intact and on time.
- Verify freight against shipping documents and obtain required delivery confirmations and customer signatures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and driving partner to support operational efficiency
- Report equipment, maintenance, safety, or delivery issues as required
- Provide professional customer service at customer locations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Valid Class 1A Driver's License
- Minimum 1 Year of Verified Class 1A driving experience
- Experience with LTL pickup and delivery process including securing freight.
- Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)
- A strong commitment to safety and professionalism
- A clean driver's abstract & criminal record
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required
- A positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in a random testing program
