Evolve Day Camps are Canada’s leading action sports camps, providing kids aged 6-15 with a fun and progressive environment to develop their skateboarding or scootering skills. Our programs are run at top-tier skateparks, where campers spend their days learning new tricks, building confidence, and making lasting memories. We’re looking for energetic and passionate Skateboard and Scooter Coaches to join our awesome team for this year’s camp season!
About the Role:
As a Skateboard or Scooter Coach, you’ll be responsible for leading a group of campers in a skatepark environment. You’ll deliver engaging and safe coaching sessions that cater to all ability levels – from first-timers to advanced riders. Your role is equal parts instructor, mentor, and role model. You’ll inspire campers to progress their skills while making sure everyone has fun and stays safe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach and supervise campers (ages 6-15) in skateboard or scooter sessions at the skatepark
- Deliver lessons tailored to a variety of skill levels, ensuring progression and confidence-building
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all campers
- Assist with daily setup and takedown of camp equipment
- Support campers in achieving personal goals while maintaining a focus on safety
- Collaborate with other coaches and camp leaders to plan lessons and activities
- Complete basic administrative duties such as incident reports and camper feedback forms
- Represent Evolve Camps with professionalism as an ambassador both on and off-site
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong skateboarding or scootering skills (depending on your specialty)
- Prior experience working with children in a camp, coaching, or teaching setting
- Outgoing, positive, and patient attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage groups effectively and create an engaging learning experience
- Previous coaching or instruction experience is a strong asset
- Knowledge of skatepark etiquette and safety protocols
- Ability to work outdoors all day in a skatepark setting
- Must hold a valid Canadian work permit or be a Canadian Citizen
