Overview
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, supporting food preparation, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, good food handling practices, and a strong work ethic. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate.
Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling tasks as directed by kitchen staff.
- Support food service operations by organizing and stocking supplies in the kitchen area.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to ensure food safety compliance.
- Help with meal assembly and presentation when needed, supporting overall kitchen efficiency.
- Follow proper sanitation procedures and safety guidelines at all times to uphold health standards.
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling processes to keep the kitchen environment tidy.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry settings is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting pots or cleaning supplies.
