Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Labourer with some Heavy Equipment Operation experience to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Excavation and Grading in a commercial setting. some knowledge of operating heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, skidsteers, loaders and Graders. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to safely and efficiently operate various types of construction equipment to support large-scale projects. The Labourer/ Equipment Operator will play a vital role in ensuring project completion with precision and safety
Duties
- Operate heavy construction equipment including skid steers, excavators, loaders, Packers, graders, and paving machinery.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with site preparation, grading, paving, and other construction activities as needed including shoveling and Raking for final grade
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary.
- Operate commercial vehicles for transporting equipment or materials around the job site.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, loaders, packers, graders.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid G driver’s license in good standing
