Overview:
Under the direction of security supervisors and managers, the incumbent provides basic security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety of patrons and team members. Safeguards the assets of the organization as well as those of its guests and team members. Promotes an outgoing, friendly guest oriented demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO) Regulations

Ensures that proper security is provided for all transfers of monies within the casino

Assist patrons with a wide variety of inquiries and situations including providing information about the property and events, giving directions and possibly escorting them if necessary

Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner
-
Patrol the casino areas to establish a security presence and report all unusual situations and/or suspicious persons

Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency situations

Assist in maintaining proper key control

Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate managers of concerns and observations.

Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations

Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members in order to provide superior guest service

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security preferred

Working knowledge of computer application packages
-
A current First Aid/CPR Certificate, along with Non Violent Intervention Technique Certificate
-
The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
-
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
-
Working knowledge of computer software packages
-
Previous gaming experience or knowledge of the gaming industry

Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of

Ability to walk
