Spectrum Safety Services is growing and is looking for confident, engaging First Aid Instructors to join our team.
We deliver a busy schedule of courses at our Edmonton training facility and provide on-site training for workplace and community clients throughout the Edmonton area.
We are looking for people who have a current First Aid and CPR certification, experience teaching or leading groups, and a genuine interest in helping people build practical skills and confidence.
The Role
As a First Aid Instructor, you will deliver practical, hands-on training in:
- CPR
- Basic First Aid
- Intermediate First Aid
- Child Care Intermediate First Aid
- First Aid and CPR recertification courses
- Blended learning practical sessions
Spectrum provides instructor onboarding, course-specific training, train-the-trainer support, and ongoing guidance on our programs, systems, and delivery standards.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging, hands-on First Aid and CPR training
- Lead practical demonstrations, skill practice, and student evaluations
- Create a welcoming, organized, and professional learning environment
- Ensure all required course documentation is complete and accurate
- Prepare and maintain training rooms, equipment, and course materials
- Deliver courses at our Edmonton training facility and at off-site client locations
- Follow Spectrum course standards, processes, and quality expectations
What You Bring
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is required
- Previous teaching, facilitation, coaching, or group leadership experience is required
- Current First Aid and CPR Instructor certification is a strong asset
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Confidence leading groups and coaching learners through practical skills
- A positive, professional, and approachable teaching style
- Strong organization, reliability, and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle for off-site course delivery
- Clear criminal record check
Schedule and Location
Applicants must have availability for:
- Weekday daytime courses
- Weekend courses
- Occasional evening courses
- In-house training at our Edmonton facility
- Off-site client training throughout the Edmonton area
Compensation
Starting wage: $26.00 per hour
