The Burnaby Art Gallery is looking for a Contract Visual Arts Instructor to deliver the Burnaby Art Gallery’s BAG on a Bike outreach program to the general public - from children to seniors - at festivals, markets, and public events around Burnaby with a portable printing press mounted on the back of a bike. If your passion falls within the Visual Arts area we would love to hear from you!

Successful applicants must have a degree or diploma in Visual Arts along with a strong background and related teaching experience with a variety of age groups and in a variety of contexts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable on a bicycle and would be willing to take on the responsibility of riding the bike with art supplies to a variety of events around the city. Preferred candidates will have printmaking experience and will be able to create a positive and encouraging environment. Strong bicycling skills and a familiarity of ICBC rules of the road are considered assets.

This position will work on the program which runs June to early September 2019.
