The Office of the Vice-President Indigenous (OVPI) has revised the eligibility process for Indigenous-specific opportunities that result in material advantages, such as employment in Indigenous-specific positions. Effective November 1, 2025, applicants for Indigenous-specific opportunities administered by UVic will be required to demonstrate their eligibility for those material advantages by providing a declaration of Indigenous Citizenship and supporting information.
