Iconic Electric and Controls is currently searching for full-time Journeyperson Instrument Mechanics to join our team.
Candidates must possess a full range of knowledge to install, commission, test, and troubleshoot instrument and control systems for a variety of industrial projects. Preference will be given to applicants who have maintenance experience.

Read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, blueprints, schematics.

Install, Calibrate, test, troubleshoot and commission instrumentation equipment on new or existing plant and field equipment.

Install, alter, repair and maintain various process instruments such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers and control valves.

Demonstrate proficiency in tubing bending and installations.

Comply with standards and procedures of the Iconic Electric and Control's Health and Safety Manual and OHS Regulations.

QA/QC documentation.

Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.

Identify components and mount nameplates and other identification tools according to drawing packages.

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Mentor and assist apprentices on procedures and techniques. Assist apprentices in resolving technical problems.

Journeyperson Instrument Certificate, or
- preference given to those with Red Seal Instrumentation status

Experience working in an industrial environment

Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical and logical reasoning abilities

Good communication and reading skills

Valid driver's license
-
Safety tickets an asset (i.e. CSTS, First Aid, H2S Alive, Fall Arrest and Aerial Platform)

Must be proficient in fundamentals of lockout/tagout

Must be able to understand a project request from upper management, lay it out, determine and order materials needed and be responsible for successful completion and start-up

Must have basic knowledge of industrial controls
