At Juan de Fuca Veterinary Clinic, we are committed to providing exceptional care to both our patients and their families. We are currently seeking a motivated, organized, and compassionate Veterinary Reception Assistant to support our veterinary team and help create a positive experience for every client who walks through our doors.
As the first and last point of contact for our clients, you will play an essential role in delivering outstanding customer service while supporting daily reception and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet clients and their pets upon arrival, escort them into exam rooms, and assist with departures to ensure a positive client experience
- Clean and prepare exam rooms between appointments to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Assist veterinarians (DVMs) with preparing and filling medications as directed
- Communicate effectively with Client Service Representatives (CSRs) regarding appointment schedules and the efficient movement of clients and patients throughout the hospital
- Communicate with Technical Assistants (TAs) regarding replenishment of exam room and hospital supplies to maintain appropriate stock levels
- Aid TAs with receiving and putting away clinic orders upon arrival, ensuring supplies are organized and stored appropriately
- Provide friendly, professional support to clients and veterinary staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and pet food retail/sales area to ensure a welcoming and professional environment for clients and patients
- Learn and adapt to new systems and processes to better support our clients and team
- Schedule appointments and assist with CSR and administrative duties
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and assist clients with professionalism and empathy
