As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
  • Reviewing executed debt and guarantee agreements and completing onboarding procedures including:
o Documenting recurring lender reporting requirements and updating restrictive covenant schedules
o Preparing pro forma debt tests, compliance certificates and sub-certificate questionnaires
o Ensuring the accurate, complete and timely filing and internal distribution of loan documents
  • Facilitating recurring lender reporting, including preparing / reviewing debt tests, managing the sub-certification process and evaluating qualifications thereto and assembling and issuing relevant materials to lenders
  • Monitoring guarantee portfolio for maturities / expirations, preparing quarterly stakeholder meeting materials (pro forma debt tests, meeting agendas, assembly of supporting schedules) and supporting the guarantor entity evaluation / recommendation process
  • Supporting analysis of the impact of potential transactions on the Company’s financial and non-financial covenants including pro forma financial covenant calculations
  • Addressing ad hoc queries from internal stakeholders (e.g., preparation of prepayment calculations, review of loan documents for restrictive / performance covenants, etc.)
  • Assisting in the governance, risk assessment, control evaluation / documentation and as applicable, remediation of the Global Loan Compliance program
  • Supporting the development of world class compliance systems / tools and related training materials
To succeed in this role, you have:
  • Have 2-3 years’ experience in an Accounting firm or a large and complex corporate environment in a Finance, Compliance or debt related role
  • Have an undergraduate degree in Business or Accounting or other applicable degree
  • Are personable with effective communication skills
  • Have experience reviewing and synthesizing contracts
  • Have strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel capabilities
  • Can clearly demonstrate and articulate an understanding of basic Accounting and Finance related concepts
  • Have a CPA or other relevant designation
  • Have strong documentation and organization skills and are detail oriented
  • Are energetic, self-motivated with a curious mindset and eagerness to learn and contribute toward a results-oriented team
  • Basic understanding of process and controls
  • Experience in the real estate industry an asset
