Role Overview:
We are seeking a warm, organized, and professional Host/Hostess to serve as the first point of contact for our guests. You will set the tone for the dining experience by greeting visitors warmly, managing the flow of the room, and ensuring every guest feels welcome from the moment they arrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Relations: Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
- Reservation Management: Manage incoming reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists effectively using our [Insert Reservation System, e.g., OpenTable / SevenRooms].
- Seating Coordination: Monitor the dining room to optimize seating flow, ensuring an even distribution of tables among waitstaff.
- Communication: Answer incoming phone calls, address inquiries about our menu and hours, and take accurate booking information.
- Ambiance & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front entrance and host stand area.
- Guest Satisfaction: Handle customer feedback and concerns professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and accommodate special guest requests.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a restaurant environment is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of POS or reservation software is a plus.
- Professional appearance and a positive, "can-do" attitude.
Pay: $17.60-$19.47 per hour
