We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) to join our maintenance team. This is an evening shift position, working 4x10 hour shifts per week. The ideal candidate must be Red Seal Certified with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. The Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment problems, identifying opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency, and maintaining proper documentation on all maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform repairs to ensure maximum equipment uptime
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency, and work towards improving reliability issues
- Continuously improve the maintenance program and implement new systems to streamline maintenance procedures
- Maintain proper documentation on all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory records
- Work closely and cooperatively with other members of the maintenance team to ensure timely completion of work orders and efficient operation of the plant
- Work in a safe manner; follow all safety procedures and report unsafe situations
Requirements:
- Red Seal Certified Millwright
- A flexible work schedule, including the ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays when required
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and kneeling
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
