Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of client financial data. Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Dext
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning activities
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Support payroll processing and related functions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Maintain organized documentation of all financial transactions for audit purposes
Requirements
- Prior bookkeeping and accounting experience
- Typing speed of 50+ words per minute
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity in accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Dext
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
- Experience with bank reconciliation and account analysis
- Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external vendors
- Prior experience in budgeting is a plus. This position is integral to maintaining the financial stability of our organization, requiring a proactive approach and a commitment to accuracy.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
