You will be the next addition to the accounting team, reporting to, and supporting the VP of Finance and collaborating with others internally. This is a fast paced role and required you to wear multiple hats and lend a hand as needed. You will leverage your knowledge in accounting and continue to build your skills in financial projections and analysis as you develop into an integral part of our growing team within a growing company. The position will be based in the Canadian office in Oakville, ON and will entail some of the key duties and responsibilities below:

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the month/year end process and ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and US GAAP as applicable
  • Prepare and complete the initial review of monthly internal financial statements, analyze variances, communicate findings and suggest improvements
  • Consolidation of multiple entities
  • Bank account, capital asset and other necessary reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Ensure timely invoicing of all subscription and single order revenue and as required, support the VP to ensure receivable aging is kept in line with expectations
  • Manage purchase orders, and ensure vendor and external contractor payments are made in a timely and prudent manner
  • Facilitate payroll including administration of new FTE onboarding, commissions tracking, maintaining payroll information, booking payroll on a bi-monthly basis
  • Administer employee expense reimbursement on a bi-monthly basis
  • Prepare the initial review of monthly commission accruals
  • Book necessary accruals, depreciation and other accruals as is necessary
  • Support the VP of Finance with the tax returns and annual audit processes
  • Submits reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines
  • The successful candidate will also be required to support in other administrative components for the company which include supporting expansion into new markets


Required Knowledge, Abilities and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience within a public accounting firm
  • CPA
  • Experience in accounting/finance/audit for a US company or Canadian subsidiary
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP
  • Undergrad in Accounting from a top tier Canadian university
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Proven project management and time management skills to organize, implement and execute projects while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Experience executing migrations in a cloud based environment
  • Self motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for adding value to processes and margins


  • MS Office, Accounting Software (Quickbooks), Salesforce


  • US$60,000 - US$70,000 salary plus bonus; to be determined based on experience
