Administrative Assistant I – Communications
The Health Sciences Association of Alberta is a progressive union representing approximately 26,000 paramedical professional and technical members. Our staff are committed to delivering high-quality services to our members.
We are looking for a full time permanent Administrative Assistant I – Communications that will work out of the Edmonton office reporting to the Executive Liaison. This in-scope position will be responsible for the distribution of communication to HSAA’s membership, staff and media contacts. The incumbent will be editing and formatting information to ensure the organization’s brand and message is consistently received by its stakeholders. The position works closely with the communications and governance teams to provide administrative support.
What You Bring:
You possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, such as business, technical writing, legal assistance or communications as well as three years’ experience in an administrative role. Equivalent education and work experience will be considered.
You are an energetic, self-motivated and organized individual with the ability to support and work collaboratively with many different stakeholders. You possess excellent interpersonal skills and provide information through your outstanding verbal and written communication. You are skilled at editing and formatting content utilizing Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferably, you are familiar with Canadian Press (CP) Style and have experience working with online apps and databases. You prioritize your work and excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
