Quality Assurance (QA) Manager

Position Summary
New World Friction is seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to lead and oversee all quality assurance activities within our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, enforce, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Lead, supervise, train, mentor, and develop the Quality team, including Quality Supervisors and Quality Technicians.
- Manage customer complaints and ensure timely, professional, and effective communication with customers.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) related to customer complaints, rework, scrap, and other quality issues in collaboration with process owners.
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality and prevent internal and external nonconformities.
- Review and approve supplier components for new product development, coordinate trial runs, and approve supplier PPAP submissions.
- Ensure effective implementation and compliance of system, process, and product quality requirements throughout the organization.
- Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and operational performance.
- Oversee laboratory testing of in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Ensure all laboratory and measuring equipment is properly calibrated and maintained in accordance with established schedules.
- Provide strong leadership and collaborate effectively with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Customer teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and present improvement opportunities and performance results to Management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001
- Experience with PPAP, CAPA, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality-related tools.
- Experience in brake friction manufacturing or automotive components manufacturing is considered an asset.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
